Emilis Gustainis Returns from Burga to Lead Pigu.lt as Chief Financial Officer

Effective June 2, Emilis Gustainis is returning to Pigu.lt and its parent e-commerce group PHH Group as Chief Financial Officer, following a two-year break. He will take over the role from Wojciech Wieronski, who must return to Poland due to important and unexpected family circumstances. However, Wieronski will continue his collaboration with the PHH Group as an Advisor to the Board and Investors. Most recently, Gustainis served as CFO at Burga, a fast-growing international e-commerce company known for setting global trends in tech fashion.

“We’re very pleased that Emilis has accepted the offer to return to a company he helped build over nearly seven years,” said Dainius Liulys, CEO of Pigu.lt. “With his deep expertise in e-commerce, Emilis is a trusted partner in driving our most important financial goals — including bringing Pigu.lt back to profitability by the end of this year.”

“The company is currently facing significant challenges, and I’m eager to jump back in and contribute,” said Emilis Gustainis. “We’ll ensure greater efficiency by following a clear strategic direction and  continued disciplined financial management.”

Gustainis brings over 20 years of experience in finance, including strategic financial leadership, tax planning, working capital management, financial reporting, forecasting, team leadership, and business relationship management.

He previously worked at Pigu.lt from 2016 to 2023. In 2023, he introduced unit economics at Irankiai.lt, part of the Verkter Group, and most recently held the CFO position at Burga — a Lithuanian-founded brand rapidly expanding worldwide with its unique phone cases and tech accessories.

Earlier in his career, Gustainis also served as CFO and Board Member at Limedika, one of the largest pharmaceutical retail and wholesale companies in Lithuania.
