Pigu.lt increased the number of on-time deliveries
During the busiest period for retailers in December, the e-commerce center Pigu.lt increased the number of orders delivered on time by 53%, compared with the pre-Christmas period in 2024. Over the holiday season, the company prepared more than 95% of orders for its customers on time.
Reliable and fast gift delivery was among the key values we aimed to establish last year. This year, we are continuing the company’s transformation focused on a smoother customer experience, says Vytautas Romeika, Marketing Director at Pigu.lt.
At the end of 2025, shoppers appreciated the option to place orders in the first half of the day and pick them up the very same day at Pigu.lt physical stores. The same day, 10% of all December items were handed over to customers who chose in-store pickup.
Customers picked up the highest number of same-day orders right before Christmas - on December 22. We observed a similar trend in Latvia, where a record number of last-minute gifts was handed over on December 23, said Romeika.
According to him, customers also actively use the option to order items and pick them up the same day after the holidays, in January.
Last December, the list of the most popular products delivered the same day was dominated by the Xiaomi smartwatch Redmi Watch 5 Active Midnight Black, the same brand’s air humidifier Smart Humidifier 2, and Fujifilm Instax Mini Glossy instant camera film sheets.
The most popular product categories that customers chose for immediate pickup were building sets and blocks, smartphones, and women’s perfumes.
Pigu.lt recorded the most active pre-Christmas shopping on December 10, when customers placed the highest number of orders last month.
